Project Resurgence
Project Resurgence was our heartfelt tribute to the classic western-style RPGs that shaped our love for gaming. Inspired by legendary titles like Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura, Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate, and Fallout, our vision was to craft a spiritual successor that embraced the freedom, reactivity, lore, and challenge of those timeless classics.
Resurgence was designed as one of the first episodic RPGs, with a storyline spanning five episodes. Each episode built upon the story of your custom protagonist, delivering a focused 5-10 hours of gameplay while paving the way for an epic, cohesive narrative experience. This episodic approach allowed us to prioritize quality, release polished content faster, and manage project scope effectively. Most importantly, it gave us the opportunity to engage directly with players, shaping the game’s development alongside our community from the very beginning.
Investor Relations
Developed a comprehensive pitch deck that effectively communicated the vision, mechanics, and long-term strategy of Project Resurgence.
Spearheaded meetings and presentations with angel investors, venture capitalists, and publishers to secure funding and establish partnerships.
Strategically aligned the project scope with investor expectations while preserving the creative vision of the team.
Team Resources and Operations
Identified and procured resources and tools necessary for the team to succeed, from software licenses to marketing support.
Established operational workflows to improve collaboration among a geographically distributed team of developers, designers, and artists.
Helped with talent acquisition and team building, ensuring we had the right people in place for each phase of development.
Marketing and Community Engagement
Designed and executed marketing plans to engage and grow the community, leveraging Kickstarter backers, Twitch audiences, and social media channels.
Created teasers and updates to keep players excited about the project while providing transparency about development progress.
Built relationships with community influencers to increase awareness and engagement for Project Resurgence.

About Nectar Games
Nectar Games, based in Cincinnati, was a passionate game studio dedicated to bringing a fresh take to classic RPGs by leveraging modern game engines. I joined shortly after the team’s successful Kickstarter campaign as Director of Operations. My mission was to help transition the project from a collaborative hobby among community members and friends of prolific Twitch streamer CohhCarnage into a fully operational game studio.
In my role, I was responsible for:
